Play poker and other card games is a popular pastime during the Chinese New Year, but now the authorities have taken up this form of entertainment, providing health benefits. Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), said that 20% of randomly tested the cards on the market contain excessive levels of potentially carcinogenic agent formaldehyde, which can be harmful to humans.

A marketing executive from Sewickley won the first World Series of Poker satellite play-in game at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington County.
Stan Geier, 49, outlasted a field of 230 competitors in Sunday’s tournament, which lasted nearly 10 hours. He won a $10,000 seat for the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas this summer. He will get $2,000 to cover travel expenses.
Geier has been playing poker for seven years and placed in the $1,000 Meadows Labor Day Classic.

Star City Casino, located in Sydney, Australia, is an online casino, which is now in trouble with authorities after serving the huge number of 42 beers to a customer who attended a session of poker long term.
